One step: point the arrow
The arrow is the only instruction. Point it down your target line and the ball’s poles sit left and right of it. Every feature you’re about to see depends on that one small step

Less lift, less curve
Dimples grab the air and lift a spinning ball. Tilt that spin with an open clubface and the lift leans sideways: that’s your slice. Polara makes the dimples around the equator shallower, so there is less lift to lean

Deep dimples at the poles
Both poles are ringed with deep dimples. Less material at the ends of the ball leaves more of its weight around the equator. That is what gives the ball a favorite way to spin

Backspin stays backspin
A straight shot is pure backspin: the ball turning on an axis that lies flat across the fairway. Point the arrow at the target and that is the axis this ball wants to spin on. An open or closed face tilts it less, and the shot holds its line

Everything you just saw is cut into this 0.073″ shell of soft ionomer: the shallow band and the deep poles

The core does the distance
1.535″ of soft polybutadiene rubber. Compression 85, soft enough to squash on a normal swing and spring the ball off the face. Two pieces, and the dimples do the rest
